Role and Responsibilities: Assistant Manager - Academic Affairs
As a member of the Academic Talent Management team, the Assistant Manager will hold defined responsibilities across the following core areas. The role will typically involve engagement in two to three areas concurrently, with planned rotation across all areas over time, aligned to individual capability, performance, and professional interest.
1. Deployment
Supporting deployment planning by assessing teacher readiness, domain alignment, and capacity requirements.
Flagging risks, teacher readiness, and constraints while tracking training and mentoring completion to inform deployment decisions.
2. Training
Designing, updating and delivering teacher training resources aligned with LINC standards, partner requirements and student needs.
Monitoring training completion and effectiveness and preparing inputs for internal review and university-facing communication.
3. Mentoring
Owning and managing structured mentoring support for new teachers during onboarding and transition phases.
Aligning and supporting mentors while serving as an escalation point for teacher support needs.
4. Quality Assurance
Leading quality monitoring across teaching delivery through live session audits, evaluations, and grading feedback reviews.
Ensuring adherence to academic standards while identifying recurring quality gaps and training/re-training priorities.
5. Teacher Engagement
Supporting teacher recruitment and lifecycle decisions through readiness assessments, training, mentoring and academic input.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a consistent, well-supported teacher experience.
The role will report to Manager - Academic Talent Management and Associate Director - Academic Affairs
Who are we looking for
Qualification: Master's degree from a top tier university / college. Candidates with IT, Data Science and Technology background are preferred. PhD candidates are encouraged to apply.
Experience: 5-8 years of full-time or adjunct teaching experience in a reputed university and/or strong corporate experience with coaching and training.
