Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Library Operations

  • Assist in daily library functions such as book circulation, cataloging, and shelving
  • Maintain accurate library records, book databases, and registers
  • Organize and manage magazines, journals, and other publications
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper arrangement of library materials

Library Administration & Coordination

  • Manage inter-departmental correspondence and document filing
  • Draft memos, letters, and reports as per the Section Head's requirements
  • Compile and present information and data to support administrative decisions
  • Assist in stock verification and inventory control

Technical & Digital Competency

  • Operate and maintain library automation systems
  • Perform digital tasks like scanning, CD writing, and archiving
  • Ensure digital cataloging and accurate metadata entry for all resources
