Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Assistant Lab Instructor for the Department of Biomedical Engineering at GKM College of Engineering & Technology. This on-site role, based in Chennai, involves managing laboratory sessions, assisting students in understanding and performing experiments, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The candidate will collaborate with faculty members for curriculum planning, support student learning, and participate in academic initiatives to enhance the learning experience.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Laboratory Skills, including the handling and maintenance of biomedical engineering equipment
- Strong Communication skills to effectively engage with students and faculty
- Experience in Curriculum Development and planning of lab activities
- Teaching and Education skills to guide and mentor students in practical and theoretical concepts
- Ability to adhere to safety protocols and troubleshoot technical issues in a laboratory environment
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field
- Prior experience in an academic or laboratory setting is an added advantage
