Job Description

Role Objective :

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) – SAP will lead the strategic roadmap, governance, and operational excellence of the SAP S/4HANA landscape across global pharmaceutical manufacturing sites. This role ensures the ERP system functions as the Single Source of Truth for batch traceability, quality control, and regulatory compliance, while driving Industry 4.0 innovations in a GxP-validated environment.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Regulatory Compliance & GxP Governance

  • System Validation: Oversee Computer System Validation (CSV) protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) to maintain a validated state per FDA and EMA requirements.
  • Audit Readiness: Act as technical lead during regulatory audits, ensuring documentation for electronic signatures, audit trails, and data integrity.
  • Serialization & Traceability: Lead integration of Track & Trace modules to comply with global anti-counterfeiting and product traceability laws.

2. Strategic Roadmap & S/4HANA Leadership

  • Define and execute the SAP S/4HANA roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives, ensuring scalability and resilience of ERP systems.
  • Champion best practices in SAP governance, architecture, and lifecycle management.

3. Smart Manufacturing & Supply Chain (Industry 4.0)

  • Integration (IT/OT): Manage SAP integration with MES, LIMS, and automated warehouse solutions (EWM).
  • Cold Chain Management: Implement IoT-enabled SAP solutions for real-time monitoring of temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical shipments.
  • Enable predictive analytics and AI-driven decision-making across supply chain operations.

4. Operational Excellence

  • Vendor Management: Negotiate and manage relationships with SAP, system integrators, and managed service providers.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor cross-functional teams of SAP consultants (MM, PP-PI, QM, FICO).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize system performance and user adoption.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 15+ years in SAP leadership, with 5–10 years in Life Sciences, Biotech, or Food & Beverage industries.
  • Expertise: Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, GxP compliance, and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage global stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Deep understanding of SAP modules (MM, PP-PI, QM, FICO), IT/OT integration, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with FDA, EMA, and global compliance standards.
