Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant General Manager Legal to join
our Legal & Business Development team. The role involves managing end-to-end legal due
diligence, property documentation, compliance, and contract management for our real estate
projects. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in land laws, RERA, litigation
management, and property registration processes while providing proactive legal support to
senior management in strategic and operational matters.
Key Responsibilities
Due Diligence & Legal Opinions
o Conduct title due diligence and provide legal opinions on land and property.
o Trace title history for agricultural, BDA, CMC, and municipal properties and
liaise with government departments.
o Survey title documents, verify ownership records, and prepare issue charts.
Drafting & Vetting Legal Documents
o Draft and vet a wide range of legal documents, including:
Sale Deeds, Agreements of Sale, Partition Deeds, Release Deeds, Power
of Attorney, Wills
Joint Development Agreements (JDAs), MoUs, Sharing Agreements, Civil
Contracts, Construction Agreements
Lease Agreements (Commercial & Residential), Service Contracts, NDAs,
Company Contracts
Property Registration & Liaison Work
o Handle property registration work with jurisdictional Sub-Registrar offices.
o Liaise with BDA, BMRDA, BBMP, Taluk and Revenue Departments, and other
relevant authorities.
Legal Compliance & Project Documentation
o Manage end-to-end legal compliance for construction and development projects.
o Ensure approvals, land conversion, and RERA registration and compliance.
o Coordinate with external legal counsel for ongoing litigation matters.
Advisory & Risk Management
o Support senior legal and compliance teams in strategic decision-making.
o Manage legal risk, monitor contract compliance, and ensure adherence to
regulatory requirements.
o Maintain accurate records and ensure timely submission of assigned legal work.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.); Master's in Law (LL.M.) preferred.
Minimum 1015 years of experience in legal roles, preferably in real estate, property
law, or construction industry.
Strong knowledge of real estate laws, RERA, and property registration processes.
Experience in litigation management and coordination with external counsel.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
