Responsibilities:
- Creating and developing designs for sarees, lehengas, anarkalis, shararas, kurtas, and fusion wear.
- Contribute ideas to seasonal collections while ensuring alignment with brand aesthetics and current fashion trends.
- Support in refining garment silhouettes and ensuring the desired fit and style are achieved.
- Assist in overseeing the garment construction process, from sketches to final products, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Execute the sampling process under the direction of the Lead Designer ensuring samples meet design and quality expectations.
- Create mood boards for seasonal collections and design presentations for client meetings.
- Collaborate with sampling and production teams to ensure accurate pattern execution.
- Assist in designing intricate embroidery patterns that enhance the garment's appeal.
- Work with artisans and vendors to ensure high-quality embroidery craftsmanship.
- Create detailed cost sheets, range sheets, and fabric, trim, and embroidery swatch cards for seasonal collections
- Stay updated with emerging fashion trends, fabrics, and market demands.
- Conduct research to support new design opportunities and innovative techniques.
- Work closely with the design, production, and merchandising teams to ensure seamless collaboration and timely product launches.
- Assist in mentoring junior designers and interns, fostering a creative and supportive team environment.
- Assist in maintaining high standards of quality control throughout the design and production process, ensuring all final products meet brand expectations.
- Assist with fittings and alterations for campaign and look book shoots, ensuring garments are styled and fit to perfect.
Qualifications
Worked with Fashion Houses and Designers.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
Strong expertise in silhouette design, garment construction, and pattern making.
Proficient in embroidery design and creating digital and foil prints.
Understanding of fabric properties and their application in Indian wear.
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, and MS Office.
Strong sketching and illustration skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in English and Hindi
