Assistant Engineer-Power Apps Developer

WSP is currently recruiting a talented and highly motivated Assistant Engineer Power App to join our team

o Application Development: Design and build Canvas Apps using Power Apps to meet business requirements and improve operational efficiency
o Form-Based Solutions: Create form-based Power Apps with SharePoint as the backend data source, ensuring proper data collection and storage
o Data Integration: Connect applications to various data sources including SharePoint, SQL Server/Azure SQL, Excel, REST APIs, and on-premises systems via data gateways
o Workflow Automation: Develop and implement Power Automate flows to streamline business processes, integrate with Power Apps, and automate report generation
o Automated Reporting: Build Power Automate workflows that trigger report creation from form submissions and distribute reports to stakeholders
o Dashboard Creation: Build interactive Power BI reports and dashboards for data visualization and business intelligence
o End-to-End Solutions: Deliver complete solutions combining Power Apps forms, SharePoint lists/libraries, Power Automate workflows, and automated reporting
o Performance Optimization: Ensure apps follow best practices for delegation, performance, and scalability
o UI/UX Design: Create intuitive, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces with reusable component libraries
o Testing & Deployment: Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and deploy solutions across development, test, and production environments
o Documentation: Maintain technical documentation for applications, workflows, and data models
o Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
o Support & Maintenance: Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements to existing applications

Required Skills & Experience
oPower Apps Expertise: Hands-on experience developing Canvas Apps with proven track record of successful deployments
oSharePoint Integration: Strong experience creating form-based Power Apps connected to SharePoint lists/libraries as backend data sources
oPower Automate Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to build automated workflows that integrate with Power Apps and generate reports from form submissions
oData Connectivity: Proven ability to build applications using SharePoint, SQL Server/Azure SQL, Excel, API endpoints, or on-premises data via gateway
oPower Fx Proficiency: Strong understanding of Power Fx formulas, delegation limits, offline patterns, and performance optimization techniques
oUI/UX Design Skills: Experience designing user-friendly, responsive UI layouts and creating reusable components
oPower BI Development: Hands-on experience building reports, dashboards, and data models
oReport Automation: Experience automating report generation and distribution using Power Automate (PDF generation, Excel exports, email distribution)
oProblem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to resolve technical challenges
oCommunication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders
oTeam Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborative environments
Nice-to-Have Skills
oCustom Connectors: Experience building or modifying custom connectors for Power Platform
oAPI Knowledge: Understanding of REST APIs, JSON structures, and OAuth authentication mechanisms
oAzure Services: Familiarity with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Blob Storage, and other cloud services
oMobile Solutions: Experience supporting field or mobile-first workflows and offline-capable applications
oGovernance & ALM: Knowledge of M365 governance, environment strategy, solution lifecycle management, and deployment best practices
oDataverse: Experience working with Microsoft Dataverse (Common Data Service)
oModel-Driven Apps: Exposure to Model-Driven Apps development
oPCF Components: Knowledge of Power Apps Component Framework (PCF) for custom controls
oDocument Generation: Experience with document generation tools and templates (Word templates, PDF generation)
oApproval Workflows: Experience building multi-level approval processes with Power Automate
Qualifications
oBachelor's/Masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
oyears of experience in application development, with 2-4 years specifically in Power Platform
