Position Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Assistant Dispatch Manager / Dispatch Engineer who possesses strong knowledge and practical experience in dispatch operations, logistics coordination, and steel/PEB material movement.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in planning, coordinating, and managing dispatch operations from manufacturing plants to project sites, ensuring accurate documentation, safe transportation, and timely delivery of structural steel components.

Candidates with prior experience in PEB industry, steel structures, fabrication units, or industrial logistics operations will be strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities Areas (KRA)

Dispatch Planning & Coordination

• Plan and manage daily dispatch schedules from the manufacturing plant to various project locations.
• Coordinate with production, fabrication, and project teams to ensure timely readiness of materials for dispatch.
• Ensure smooth coordination between plant operations, logistics vendors, and site teams.

Logistics & Transportation Management

• Arrange and monitor transportation for steel structures, fabricated components, and project materials.
• Manage fleet coordination and ensure optimized truck loading for efficient transportation.
• Monitor transit schedules and track deliveries to ensure on-time arrival at project sites.

Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare and verify dispatch documentation including delivery challans, invoices, E-way bills, and transportation records.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and ensure compliance with logistics and transportation regulations.
• Coordinate documentation with accounts and project teams for billing and delivery confirmation.

Inventory & Material Management

• Coordinate with the store department to ensure correct material loading as per dispatch schedule.
• Verify quantities, material codes, and packing details before dispatch.
• Maintain dispatch registers and digital records of outgoing materials.

Site Coordination

• Communicate regularly with site teams to confirm delivery schedules and unloading arrangements.
• Resolve logistics or transportation issues that may arise during transit.

Process Optimization

• Identify improvements in dispatch processes to increase efficiency and reduce delays.
• Ensure safe handling and transportation of structural steel components.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Dispatch / Logistics operations
• Experience in PEB industry, structural steel, fabrication units, or industrial manufacturing plants preferred
• Strong understanding of dispatch planning, transportation management, and logistics coordination
• Knowledge of E-way bill generation and dispatch documentation
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and external logistics vendors
• Good problem-solving and operational planning skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel and basic ERP systems
