Job Description: Assistant Manager Design (Corporate Interior Fit-Out)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager Design with strong expertise in corporate office interior projects, space planning, detailing, and coordination. The role involves supporting the design lead, preparing layouts and GFC drawings, and ensuring smooth design delivery from concept to execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Space Planning & Concept Development

  • Prepare efficient and functional space planning layouts for corporate office fit-outs.
  • Assist in developing concept presentations, mood boards, and material palettes.
  • Study site conditions, client briefs, and building regulations for accurate planning.

2. Design Development & GFC Drawings

  • Prepare and update detailed design drawings including:
  • Architectural layouts
  • Furniture layouts
  • RCP and lighting layouts
  • Flooring plans
  • Partition and joinery details
  • Support in finalizing Good for Construction (GFC) drawing sets with accuracy.

3. Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate with internal teams MEP, QS, project execution, procurement to ensure design alignment.
  • Liaise with vendors and consultants for material selections and technical inputs.
  • Participate in client meetings and present design drawings when required.

4. Site Support

  • Conduct design inspections during execution to ensure adherence to design intent.
  • Provide clarifications to the site team and resolve drawing-related issues.
  • Verify material samples and finishes as per approved design.

5. Documentation & Standards

  • Assist in preparing BOQs, design documentation, and specification sheets.
  • Ensure designs comply with corporate standards, building codes, and safety norms.
  • Maintain updated drawing records and version control.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong skills in AutoCAD, Revit (added advantage), SketchUp, Photoshop, MS Office.
  • Excellent knowledge of modern workplace design, materials, and fit-out standards.
  • Good communication, teamwork, and client-handling abilities.
  • Ability to work under tight timelines with attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture / Interior Design.
  • 58 years of experience in corporate interior fit-out design roles.
