Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Assistant Manager Contract Management to support the Contract Management Lead in handling procurement and project contracts for Wind, Solar and Hybrid renewable energy projects. The role will assist in drafting, reviewing, negotiating and administering key project contracts while ensuring commercial alignment and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Drafting & Documentation
- Support drafting, reviewing and finalizing MSAs, EPC contracts, BOS (Solar) / BOP (Wind) agreements, WTG supply agreements and O&M contracts.
- Assist in structuring key contractual clauses such as LDs, warranties, defect liability period, limitation of liability, termination and force majeure.
- Ensure contract documentation is aligned with project timelines, commercial terms and internal approval frameworks.
Contract Administration
- Maintain and manage contract records, amendments, change orders and correspondence with vendors and contractors.
- Track contractual obligations, milestones and deliverables to ensure compliance.
Commercial & Regulatory Support
- Assist the team in evaluating commercial terms, payment schedules, tax implications (GST, customs duties) and regulatory compliance.
- Support adherence to MNRE guidelines, CEA standards and renewable sector regulatory requirements.
Risk Identification & Coordination
- Assist in identifying contractual risks related to project timelines, performance obligations, and vendor deliverables.
- Coordinate with legal, procurement, finance and project teams for contract clarifications and issue resolution.
Process & Documentation Excellence
- Support the improvement of contract templates, documentation standards and contract management processes.
- Maintain a centralized contract repository and tracking mechanism.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 25 years of experience in contract drafting and management within renewable energy, EPC, infrastructure or related sectors.
- Strong exposure to contract drafting, review and documentation.
- Basic understanding of EPC / project contracts and commercial terms.
- Good analytical, negotiation and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple contracts and timelines effectively.
