Position Overview

To support the Career Counsellor in guiding students in making informed academic and career decisions. The role involves assisting with university applications, career exploration activities, documentation, and parent communication.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in conducting one-on-one and group career counselling sessions.

Support students in identifying interests, strengths, and career pathways.

Help students understand subject choices for IGCSE and A Level aligned with future goals.

Maintain confidential student career records.

Assist students with applications to Indian and international universities (UK, US, Canada, Australia, Europe, etc.).

Support documentation such as:

  • Transcripts
  • Predicted grades
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Personal statements

Track application deadlines and ensure timely submissions.

Maintain university database and admission updates.

Coordinate university fairs and career talks.

Liaise with university representatives.

Organize career exploration workshops, aptitude tests, and information sessions.

Support communication with parents regarding university pathways and timelines.

Participate in parent orientation sessions on career planning.

Maintain student counselling records and reports.

Update career guidance resources (brochures, digital platforms).

Assist in preparing school profiles and career guidance reports.

Qualifications & Experience

Master's degree in psychology / counselling / education / human development or related field.

Certification in Career Counselling (preferred).

Familiarity with international university admission systems (UCAS, Common App, Indian universities).

Prior Experience In An International Or Cambridge School Preferred.

24 years of experience in career counselling, student advisory roles, or university admissions support preferred.

Experience working within Cambridge Assessment International Education curriculum environment is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Understanding of adolescent development.

Knowledge of global higher education systems.

Organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.

High level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Proficiency in MS Office and career management platforms.
