Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Accountant, based in Pune. The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for managing daily bookkeeping, maintaining financial records, processing invoices, and managing accounts payable and receivable. The role also involves assisting with the preparation of financial statements, supporting tax filings, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and collaborating with senior accountants for auditing and reporting tasks.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and maintaining financial records
- Understanding of auditing processes, compliance protocols, and tax laws, including GST and Income Tax regulations
- Strong analytical skills for financial reporting and statement preparation
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools, such as Tally, Excel, or other ERP systems
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; any professional accounting certification is a plus
- Prior experience in an accounting or finance role; experience in corporate compliance is advantageous
