Job Summary
The Assignment Manager Security Operations is responsible for managing and supervising day-to-day security operations at the assigned site. The role includes leading a team of security personnel, ensuring effective deployment, monitoring electronic security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Automation), and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities1 Security Operations Management
- Plan, deploy, and supervise security guards and supervisors as per site requirements.
- Ensure 24/7 security coverage and proper shift management.
- Conduct regular site patrols and security inspections.
- Handle incidents, emergencies, and crisis situations effectively.
- Coordinate with local authorities when required.
2 Team Leadership & Administration
- Lead and manage the security team.
- Conduct daily briefings and periodic performance reviews.
- Ensure discipline, grooming standards, and adherence to SOPs.
- Arrange periodic training and mock drills (fire, evacuation, emergency response).
- Maintain attendance, duty rosters, and manpower planning.
3 CCTV & Surveillance Management
- Monitor and manage CCTV surveillance systems.
- Ensure cameras are functional and properly positioned.
- Review footage during investigations and incident analysis.
- Coordinate with vendors for maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Maintain CCTV logs and compliance records.
4 Access Control & Security Automation
- Manage access control systems (Biometric, Card-based, Turnstile systems).
- Authorize and monitor access rights for employees and visitors.
- Maintain access control database and user management.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and company policies.
- Troubleshoot access control issues.
5 Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with company security policies and statutory regulations.
- Maintain incident reports, visitor logs, vehicle logs, and security registers.
- Support audits and inspections.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of CCTV systems and video management software.
- Hands-on experience in Access Control Systems (Biometric, RFID, etc.).
- Good understanding of security automation and integrated security systems.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Incident handling and crisis management capability.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and report preparation.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
Educational Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline (Security Management preferred).
Experience
- Ex-Defence Personnel (Army / Navy / Air Force) Mandatory
- Minimum 5+ years of service in Defence Forces.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Private / Industrial / Corporate Security after retirement.
- Experience in handling electronic security systems (CCTV & Access Control) preferred.
- Experience in leading security teams in industrial / corporate environment.
