The SENIOR MAINFRAME ASSEMBLER SPECIALIST works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Strong knowledge in assembler technologies and debugging code is a must have. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise. The Senior works on the migration efforts of critical, industry-class, on-house, or commercial products as well as tooling for use in project work

All you need is...
Expert level in mainframe application technologies (COBOL, CICS, DB2, etc....).
Expert level experience coding in mainframe Assembler (a plus is expert in Windows or Linux assembler).
o Capable of code debugging, performing builds, and rollouts.
o Experience with algorithms and data structures.
Expert-level capability to code using highly abstract design principles.
o Exposure to or experience with third party development frameworks desired.
o The ability to learn new frameworks in a short period.
Strong object-oriented programming debugging skills.
Proven experience in Mainframe and Cloud Technology.
Expert database development knowledge.
o SQL development.
o Understanding of database concepts.
o Ability to create/maintain database objects.
o Query tuning.
o Database locking.
Experienced in unit testing, test-driven development, integration testing, and deployment using cloud technologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Waterfall and Agile Development Methodologies.
.Preferred qualifications
7+ years of experience with mainframe application and database technologies.
7+ Years of Development experience in mainframe assembler coding, a plus is assembler knowledge on Windows or Linux.
A plus would be candidate with 2+ Years of Development experience using cutting edge development tools in JAVA.
Certifications in any cloud technologies.
BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
