As aBack End DeveloperatEaseMyTrip.com, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications tailored for the travel and eCommerce space. Working alongside cross-functional teams, you will translate complex business needs into elegant backend solutions using modern technologies like ASP.Net Core, C#, SQL Server, MongoDB, and more. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape user experience from behind the scenes, solve challenging problems, and contribute to building world-class travel technology products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Backend Development:Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure backend services using ASP.Net, ASP.Net Core, C++, and C#
  • API & Service Creation:Create RESTful APIs and web services with JSON payloads to power frontend and mobile applications.
  • Architecture & Code Translation:Convert complex functional and technical requirements into clean architecture, modular code, and reusable components.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration:Work closely with product managers, designers, and frontend teams to ensure seamless integration and feature delivery.
  • Performance & Scalability Optimization:Build low-latency, high-availability applications optimized for large-scale traffic and seamless user experiences.
  • Security & Data Protection:Implement data protection mechanisms, secure coding practices, and comply with best-in-class security protocols.
  • Code Quality & Reviews:Write reusable, testable code and participate in regular code reviews to ensure adherence to performance and coding standards.
  • Issue Debugging & Production Support:Identify and resolve production-level issues with agility and precision to maintain system integrity and uptime.
  • Deployment & Release Management:Manage feature and patch deployments across development, QA, and production environments, ensuring smooth release cycles.
  • Documentation & Engineering Practices:Write technical documentation and contribute to improving engineering practices, tools, and processes within the team.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Technical Experience:Minimum 3 years of backend development experience, particularly in ASP.Net, C#, C++, and IIS environments.
  • Database Skills:Proficient in SQL Server, with exposure to NoSQL databases like MongoDB. Able to manage schema changes and optimize queries.
  • Web & API Development:Experience in building scalable web services and RESTful APIs with JSON handling. Familiarity with WebSockets and Node.js is a plus.
  • Front-End Integration:Understanding of responsive design principles, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular is advantageous.
  • Cloud & DevOps:Experience with cloud platforms (especially Google Cloud) and CI/CD deployment practices is a strong plus.
  • Coding & Architecture Skills:Strong grip on data structures, algorithms, software design patterns, and clean coding practices.
  • Security Knowledge:Well-versed with application security concepts, data protection, and secure development life cycles.
  • System Design:Capable of architecting full systems from scratch with a focus on modularity, performance, and maintainability.
  • Team Collaboration:Effective communicator and team player, capable of working in fast-paced agile environments.
  • Adaptability & Problem Solving:Quick learner, resourceful, and analytical, with strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities.

EaseMyTrip commenced its operations in 2008 by focusing on the B2B2C (business to business to customer) distribution channel and providing travel agents access to its website to book domestic travel airline tickets in order to cater to the offline travel market in India. Subsequently, by leveraging its B2B2C channel, the company commenced operations in the B2C (business to customer) distribution channel in 2011by primarily focusing on the growing Indian middle class populations travel requirements. With our presence in the B2B2C and B2C channels, we were able to commence operations in the B2E (business to enterprise) distribution channel in 2013 with the aim of providing end-to-end travel solutions to corporates. Our presence in three distinct distribution channels provide us with a diversified customer base and wide distribution network.

We have been providing customers with the option of no-convenience fee, such that customers are not required to pay any service fee in instances where there are no alternate discount or promotion coupon being availed. In our pricing model, we have endeavored to avoid hidden costs, which result in increasing the final price payable by the customer.

We offer a comprehensive range of travel-related products and services catering to the needs of passengers traveling domestically, as well as traveling to and from international destinations. We provide the customers with various tools and information that they need to research, plan, book and purchase travel products and services in India as well as outside India. We offer our products and services online through our websites and mobile applications, and use data and analytics to personalize the customer experience on our websites and mobile applications, based on past searches and purchasing history, which we believe increases engagement and likelihood of purchase.

We believe that we have been able to develop relationships across our portfolio of suppliers for airlines, hotels, holiday packages, buses and taxis. We have dedicated teams managing our existing relationships and enhancing and developing new relationships with airlines and hotel chains. Our supplier relationship teams negotiate agreements with suppliers for access to travel inventory and also monitor supplier-sponsored promotions.
