As400 Developer

Role Overview

The AS400 Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications on the AS400 platform using RPGLE. The role involves working with legacy systems, supporting IT services, and ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AS400 applications using RPGLE.
• Implement and optimize batch jobs, CL programs, and data processing routines.
• Support system upgrades, enhancements, and troubleshooting of legacy applications.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and AS400 solutions.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure smooth operations and integration with other systems.
• Maintain documentation for code, processes, and system configurations.

Experience Requirements

• 610 years of hands-on experience as an AS400 Developer.
• Strong expertise in RPGLE programming and AS400 system operations.
• Experience with batch processing, CL programming, and legacy system integrations.
• Familiarity with database operations and performance tuning on AS400 systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain legacy IT applications.
