Role Overview
The Artificial Intelligence Industry Expert will contribute to teaching, research, curriculum development, and industry integration within the AI programs. The role requires an individual with extensive industry experience in AI technologies, machine learning systems, and data-driven solutions, who can bring real-world insights into academic environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Academic Delivery
- Deliver undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral level courses in Artificial Intelligence and related domains.
- Teach and develop course modules in:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Machine Learning
- Deep Learning
- Natural Language Processing
- Computer Vision
- Reinforcement Learning
- Generative AI
- Data Science and Analytics
- Design industry-relevant curriculum and lab modules aligned with global AI standards.
- Supervise student projects, dissertations, and capstone projects.
- Develop practical learning experiences through case studies, simulations, and industry datasets.
2. Industry Collaboration
- Build and strengthen collaborations with AI companies, startups, and technology partners.
- Facilitate industry internships, live projects, and collaborative research programs.
- Invite industry experts for guest lectures, workshops, and knowledge sessions.
- Support placement preparation and skill development initiatives.
3. Research & Innovation
- Conduct high-impact research in areas such as:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Machine Learning & Deep Learning
- Computer Vision
- Natural Language Processing
- Robotics and Intelligent Systems
- AI-driven Automation
- Generative AI applications
- Publish research papers in reputed journals and international conferences.
- Apply for research grants and funded projects from government and industry.
- Develop AI prototypes, patents, and technology solutions.
- Contribute to establishing Centers of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence.
4. Student Mentorship
- Mentor students in AI innovation projects and research activities.
- Guide students for hackathons, AI competitions, and startup initiatives.
- Support the development of student-led AI products and research publications.
- Provide career guidance and industry insights to prepare students for AI roles.
5. Academic Leadership
- Participate in curriculum design, program review, and accreditation processes.
- Lead departmental initiatives in AI research labs and innovation hubs.
- Organize AI conferences, workshops, seminars, and training programs.
- Contribute to strategic planning and academic development of AI programs.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence / Computer Science / Machine Learning / Data Science or related field (preferred).
- M.Tech / MS / ME in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Strong industry experience in AI systems development and deployment.
Experience Requirements
- 1220 years of professional experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related technologies.
- Experience in technology companies, AI startups, research labs, or consulting organizations.
- Proven track record of leading AI projects or teams.
- Exposure to training, mentoring, or technical leadership roles is highly desirable.
