ABOUT THE ROLE

We're hiring an AI Engineer who combines AI engineering with product thinking. This is not a research or data science role—we're looking for someone who can identify high-impact AI opportunities, rapidly prototype solutions using LLMs, agents, and RAG, and ship production-ready features into our Java, React, and AWS platform while working closely with product, engineering, and design teams.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 3–5 years building AI-powered applications in production, not research
• Strong understanding of LLMs and how to put them to work
• Hands-on experience integrating OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or comparable APIs
• Track record building AI applications rather than training models
• Solid experience with REST APIs and Git
• Comfort with Docker and AWS
• Experience integrating AI into real SaaS products
• Working understanding of prompt engineering
• Practical experience with RAG and vector databases
• Experience building AI agents and agentic workflows
• Excellent debugging skills
• Strong product thinking and customer instincts
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

AI Product Development — Identify high-impact AI opportunities across the platform, design AI-powered workflows, prototype fast, and take them from concept to production alongside Product Managers.

• Product Thinking — Start from the customer's problem, not the model. Recommend AI features that solve real business pain, measure adoption and impact, and say no to AI for its own sake.
• AI Engineering — Build LLM-powered services and AI APIs, implement RAG pipelines and agents, run evaluations, optimize prompts, and reduce hallucinations at the source.
• Engineering — Integrate AI into our Java/Spring Boot microservices and React frontend, design clean APIs, write production-quality code, and hold the bar high in review.
• Innovation — Track the AI landscape as it moves week to week, evaluate new models and frameworks, and push the rest of engineering toward AI-first instincts.

TECHNOLOGY STACK

Backend: Java 17+, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, SQL, REST APIs, Microservices Frontend: React.js Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes (preferred) LLMs: OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Llama, Mistral, Qwen AI Frameworks: LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex AI Infrastructure: FastAPI (preferred), Python, RAG, Vector Databases, Agents, Evaluation & Guardrails

• Admissions Copilot — An agent that qualifies inbound leads, answers parent questions instantly, and books trial sessions before a human ever gets involved.
• Athlete Intelligence — Models that turn raw attendance, performance, and coach notes into a clear read on athlete progress, engagement, and churn risk.
• Coach & Scheduling Assistant — An AI layer that resolves scheduling conflicts, staffing gaps, and last-minute changes automatically, across hundreds of batches.
• Smart Collections — Predictive nudges that reduce payment delays without turning every reminder into an awkward conversation.
• Conversational CRM — A natural-language interface so an academy owner can just ask who hasn't paid this month instead of building a report.
• Analytics Narrator — AI that turns dashboards into plain-English insights and next-best-actions for non-technical academy owners.

Employment Type:

Experience: 3–5 years, including minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in AI product development.
