About the Role: We aim to empower our development community with practical, effective access to AI toolsstarting with GitHub Copilot. We're looking for an AI Engineer who can bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI capabilities and the real-world needs of over 1,000 developers across diverse environments. This role is not just about AI expertiseit's about understanding how developers work and helping them integrate AI tools into their daily workflows. Familiarity with Azure AI Studio and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications is plus to support our evolving AI strategy.
Responsibilities:
- AI Tool Integration: Champion the pragmatic use of AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) across various development teams.
- Use Case Simulation: Design and simulate realistic use cases to demonstrate the value of AI tools in different tech stacks.
- Developer Support: Act as a technical advisor to developers using Python, Node.js/Angular, and Java (Spring/Maven) environments.
- Workflow Optimisation: Support the adoption of GitHub Actions and other GitHub-native workflows to streamline CI/CD processes with AI.
- Community Enablement: Create documentation, demos, and best practices to help developers get the most out of AI tools.
- Feedback Loop: Gather feedback from developers to continuously improve AI tool usage and identify new opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Strong programming experience in Python, Java (Spring/Maven), and JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js, Angular).
- Solid understanding of GitHub workflows, including GitHub Actions and GitHub Copilot.
- Hands-on experience with Azure AI Studio and building or supporting RAG applications is a plus.
- Experience with AI/ML tools or platforms, ideally in a developer productivity context.
- Ability to simulate and prototype real-world development scenarios.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
