About The Role
The Engineer, Artificial Intelligence at Mitchell Martin Inc. plays a pivotal role in advancing our AI capabilities by supporting the development and deployment of sophisticated artificial intelligence solutions. This position involves working closely with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and product teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable, innovative AI systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in machine learning, natural language processing, and emerging AI technologies such as Generative AI and Large Language Models. They will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing AI models that enhance our products and services, ensuring they are secure, ethical, and aligned with organizational goals.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field. Alternatively, candidates with a high school diploma or general education degree combined with over four years of relevant experience in AI/ML model development and deployment will also be considered. Proven professional experience working with machine learning frameworks, programming languages like Python, and cloud platforms is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a strong capacity for learning new technologies rapidly and have a solid understanding of ethical considerations in AI systems, including data privacy, security, and bias mitigation. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a deep understanding of AI/ML techniques, are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Engineer, Artificial Intelligence include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the execution of machine learning, natural language processing, and large language model deliverables aligned with the company's AI strategies.
- Contributing to the development of custom AI models, including Gen AI, NLP, and LLMs, for batch and stream processing pipelines. This encompasses data ingestion, preprocessing modules, search and retrieval systems, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and model development.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams comprising data scientists, ML engineers, and software developers to integrate AI models into production environments seamlessly.
- Staying abreast of emerging AI/ML technologies and recommending innovative approaches to enhance existing systems and processes.
- Applying best practices related to data privacy, security, and addressing biases within AI systems to ensure ethical and responsible AI deployment.
