Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Mumbai for an Article Trainee at A R Sodha & Co. The trainee will assist in various functions, including preparing financial reports, conducting audits, supporting tax compliance and filings, and performing research related to assurance, taxation, and advisory services. They will have hands-on exposure to real-world client projects and will be mentored to gain extensive understanding of professional accounting and auditing standards.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in accounting principles, auditing, and financial reporting
- Basic understanding of tax compliance, GST, and direct and indirect tax concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to conduct research and identify solutions
- Proficiency in using MS Excel, accounting software, and other financial tools
- Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential
- Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to work under deadlines
- Enrollment in a Chartered Accountancy course (Articleship registration) is required
- Prior internship experience in accounting or auditing is a plus
