Role Description

This is an on-site, full-time role for an Article Assistant at the Chennai office of ABCD & Co LLP. The Article Assistant will assist in accounting, auditing, and taxation engagement across a diverse portfolio of clients. Key responsibilities include conducting tax audits, helping with statutory filings, preparing financial statements, and supporting risk assessment and management activities. Additionally, the role involves working closely with senior professionals to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and participating in process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Accounting Standards, financial reporting, and the ability to manage books of accounts
  • Experience or familiarity with Taxation (Direct and Indirect Tax compliance, GST filings, and Tax Audits)
  • Skills in Auditing Processes, including Statutory, Internal, and Forensic Audits
  • Strong analytical skills for Risk Management and IT Audit support
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, along with good interpersonal skills for client and team collaboration
  • Ability to effectively manage time, multitask, and work with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software like Tally or QuickBooks
  • Pursuing or completed CA Articleship or other professional accounting qualifications is highly desirable
