We're looking for a visionaryArt Directorto lead the visual identity of our publicationssomeone who can bring bold, beautiful, and arresting design to every book cover and layout. As Art Director, you'll shape the aesthetics of our titles, overseeing cover design, interior layout, illustration, and branding. You'll work closely with editors, authors, and marketing, to ensure each book not only reads beautifullybutlooksunforgettable.
This is a full-time position based in our New Delhi office.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and oversee cover and interior designs from concept to print.
- Collaborate with editorial and marketing to align visual strategy with content and audience.
- Maintain and evolve the visual identity of the publishing brand across platforms.
- Commission and art-direct illustrators, photographers, and other creatives as necessary.
- Ensure production standards and deadlines are met across all design projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years work experience in graphic design, with at least five years in a design or art direction role at a publishing firm.
- Strong portfolio showcasing book design and visual storytelling.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- A deep appreciation for books, design, and the publishing process.
