About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and creatively strong 2D Design Lead to lead the 2D design team and deliver high-quality creative solutions for corporate events, experiential campaigns, brand activations, conferences, exhibitions and live experiences.

The ideal candidate should have strong visual design expertise, excellent understanding of branding and event communication, and the ability to translate creative concepts into compelling design outputs across multiple formats. The role requires someone who can lead a team, manage multiple projects, work closely with Creative, Client Servicing and Production teams, and deliver within tight event timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the 2D design team, including allocation of work, mentoring, quality checks and performance management.
• Develop and execute creative design concepts for corporate events, experiential campaigns, brand activations, conferences, exhibitions, launches and employee engagement events.
• Translate creative briefs and concepts into strong visual design directions.
• Create and supervise designs across:
• Event branding and key visuals
• Stage and backdrop graphics
• Event invites and digital communication
• LED screen content and event environments
• Exhibition and stall graphics
• Branding collaterals
• Social media and digital assets
• Presentations and pitch decks
• Print and production-ready artwork
• Work closely with the Creative, Concept, Client Servicing, Production and 3D teams to ensure creative consistency and seamless execution.
• Review and approve design outputs before they are shared with clients or moved into production.
• Ensure designs are aligned with brand guidelines, event objectives and client requirements.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative visual ideas to pitches and live projects.
• Understand production requirements and ensure artwork is technically accurate and production-ready.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
• Guide designers on design thinking, visual storytelling, typography, layouts, colour, composition and brand application.
• Stay updated with design trends, event aesthetics, technology and emerging visual communication formats.
• Collaborate with vendors and production teams when required to ensure the final output matches the approved creative.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
• Strong understanding of branding, typography, layouts, colour theory and visual hierarchy.
• Excellent understanding of event and experiential design.
• Ability to develop a design from concept to final execution.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret creative briefs and convert them into visually compelling solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Good understanding of print production, fabrication and event branding requirements.
• Ability to manage and mentor a team of designers.
• Strong problem-solving and creative-thinking abilities.

Experience

• 6–8 years of relevant experience in 2D graphic design, preferably within the corporate events, experiential marketing, event agencies, brand activation or live entertainment industry.
• Candidates from advertising/design agencies may be considered if they have substantial experience handling events, activations and experiential campaigns.
• Prior experience managing or leading a design team is preferred.
