Purpose of the job position
The Argus Analyst plays a critical role in supporting and maintaining the Argus safety database system within our organization. This individual will be responsible for data analysis, system configuration, user support, and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Argus environment. The ideal candidate is self-driven and highly motivated who has a strong understanding of pharmacovigilance principles, database management, and excellent problem-solving skills.
MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Analysis and Management:
- Analyze and interpret safety data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Perform data quality checks and identify discrepancies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of data cleaning and migration strategies.
- Generate reports and visualizations to support signal detection, risk management, and regulatory reporting.
System Configuration and Maintenance:
- Configure and maintain Argus system settings, workflows, and user roles.
- Implement system upgrades and patches in collaboration with IT and vendors.
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including user manuals and training materials.
User Support and Training:
- Provide technical support and guidance to Argus users across different departments.
- Conduct user training sessions on Argus functionality and best practices.
- Assist in the onboarding of new users and ensure their proficiency in the system.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, and IT.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing clear and concise updates on system performance and project progress.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and the implementation of new technologies within the Argus environment.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field
Experience
- 2+ years of relevant experience of Argus configuration and support.
Special skills
- Strong understanding of pharmacovigilance principles and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Experience with SQL or other database query languages is a plus.
Language skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
Computer skills
- Strong oral and written English communication skills
