ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is a full-time role for an Area Sales Manager covering NCR.

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving Primary and Secondary sales and scale new infra & team, expanding distribution, building strong channel relationships and ensuring flawless market execution in the assigned territory. This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

Key responsibilities are as follows:

Sales & Distribution

  • Achieve monthly, Quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Ensure distribution expansion and numeric growth across general trade, Key outlet and emerging channels.
  • Monitor primary and secondary sales and manage stock levels effectively

Market Development

  • Appoint and manage distributors, ensuring efficient supply chain operations
  • Identify new business opportunities, markets, and retail outlet to expand footprint
  • Plan and execute market activation visibility and promotional initiatives.

Team Management

  • Recruit, train, and lead a team if sales officers
  • Monitor daily field performance and ensure productivity metrics are achieved
  • Motivate and mentor team members to achieve business objectives

Compliance & Operations

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing, and credit terms
  • Handle distributor claims, ageing, and inventory hygiene

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Graduate/MBA preferred (Specialization in sales or marketing)
  • Experience 4 to 6 Years in FMCG sales (General Trade). Experience in a start-up or new product launch environment is a plus
