Join our Immunodiagnostics Division (IDD) at Thermo Fisher Scientific a global leader in specialized diagnostic solutions. IDD plays a critical role in advancing allergy and autoimmunity testing, helping clinicians provide fast, reliable answers that improve patient lives. Our teams develop high-quality immunoassay technologies, innovative instruments, and advanced laboratory solutions used by healthcare providers worldwide.
As Area Sales Manager contribute to Thermo Fisher Scientific's success through strategic distributor partnerships. In this position, you'll develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets while building and maintaining strong relationships with channel partners. You'll apply your expertise to optimize routes to market, support partner-led sales activities, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction across our innovative product portfolio.
Working with cross-functional teams, you'll analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and implement critical initiatives to expand our market presence. You'll be responsible for supporting and developing distributor teams, managing inventory levels, and ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping our customers advance scientific discovery and improve healthcare outcomes.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required for this role: -
- Experience in sales and channel management, preferably in diagnostic, life sciences or scientific equipment industry
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and growing market share through distributor networks
- Strong technical proficiency with ability to understand and communicate complex product applications
- Excellence in relationship building and maintaining partnerships with distributors and key collaborators
- Proficiency in CRM systems (particularly Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
- Analytical approach with ability to develop strategic business plans and quantitative reports
- Well-organized with effective time management abilities
- Willingness to travel 20-30% of time within assigned territory
- Fluency in English required; additional language skills may be considered
- Experience in medical devices, laboratory equipment, or analytical instruments preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
- Strong problem-solving skills and customer-focused attitude
Educational Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate in science preferably in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry or related Biosciences with 5+ years of experience
