Role Description The Area Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, responsible for driving sales growth and brand presence within assigned territories. This role involves managing and expanding distributor and retail networks, meeting sales targets, and ensuring effective execution of trade and promotional activities. The Area Sales Manager will visit key accounts regularly, monitor stock levels, track competitor activities, and provide feedback to marketing and product teams. The role includes training and supporting field sales staff and retail partners on product knowledge and selling techniques. The Area Sales Manager will also analyze sales reports, forecast demand, and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to optimize performance in the region.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in field sales or area sales management, preferably in beauty, personal care, FMCG, or related consumer goods.
  • Strong skills in territory management, channel management, and distributor/retailer relationship building.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, prepare reports, and use insights to drive sales strategies and meet targets.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills for engaging with internal teams and external partners.
  • Capability to plan and execute trade promotions, in-store activations, and merchandising initiatives.
  • Comfort with regular market visits, field travel within the assigned area, and working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent specialization is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with CRM or sales tracking tools is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a focus on accountability and follow-through.
