Role & Responsibilities
Sales & Distribution Management
- Ensure sales and distribution performance as per the business plan by building a robust sales and development network in the designated area.
- Achieve planned sales volumes and ensure distribution of various brands through effective product availability and visibility.
Distributor Management
- Ensure proper distribution and availability of products in the assigned territory.
- Build strong customer relationships; manage distributor and customer grievances with timely troubleshooting.
- Appoint Company Distributors (CDs) and Super Stockists (SS) as needed.
- Evaluate and manage fund requirements from the market to meet sales targets.
- Ensure distributors have adequate infrastructure to support volume targets.
Driving Sales
- Plan and set CD/ID-wise sales targets.
- Manage stock allocation and ensure timely CD-wise billing.
- Conduct frequent market visits and joint working with the sales team to understand challenges, process adherence, and placement issues.
- Conduct regular market intelligence and report competitor activities.
- Identify new business opportunities to drive growth.
- Conduct periodical sales reviews and analysis.
Financial Management
- Control outstanding debts and ensure timely recovery.
- Ensure sufficient Bank Guarantee (BG) / Security Deposit (SD) availability to support volume targets.
Workforce Management
- Build and manage the team through recruitment at ASE (Area Sales Executive) and DSM (District Sales Manager) levels.
- Conduct functional induction and onboarding programs.
- Guide and motivate the sales team to achieve their targets.
- Conduct regular performance reviews.
- Ensure sales policies and processes are followed across the area.
- Provide training and development to sales personnel.
Brand Building & Business Development
- Plan and execute BTL (Below-the-Line) marketing activities in the assigned area.
- Implement consumer promotions and ensure proper execution at the field level.
- Identify and explore new business opportunities to grow and protect market share.
Depot & Inventory Management
- Oversee C&FA (Carrying & Forwarding Agent), depot, and warehouse administration.
- Manage stock, inventory, and indenting; focus on liquidation of slow-moving or short-expiry products.
- Coordinate between C&FA, company logistics, and sales teams for efficient stock flow and management.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3 years of team handling experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the FMCG industry.
- Post-graduation is mandatory.
- Knowledge of the area/region is preferred.
