Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Area Sales Manager role based in Delhi/NCR. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales of Inventant Education's STEAM-focused coursebooks and learning resources across assigned territories. Daily activities include meeting with school leaders, educators, and distributors; conducting product presentations and demos; and building long-term relationships with institutional clients. The role involves generating and qualifying leads, creating and executing territory sales plans, and achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets. The Area Sales Manager will also collect market feedback, track competitor activities, collaborate with the marketing and product teams, and prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management.
Qualifications
Proven experience in educational sales, institutional sales, or publishing sales, preferably within K-12 or STEAM-focused segments.
Strong relationship-building and account management skills, with the ability to engage school management, educators, and channel partners.
Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, including the ability to deliver compelling product demos and proposals.
Solid territory management, pipeline management, and basic CRM skills to plan visits, track leads, and report sales performance.
Comfort with data-driven decision-making, including analyzing sales metrics, market trends, and customer feedback.
Self-motivated and target-oriented, with the ability to work independently in the field and manage multiple priorities.
Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned area for client meetings, events, and school visits.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
Interest in or familiarity with STEAM education, innovative pedagogy, and curriculum solutions is highly beneficial.
