Experience Required
- Overall: 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience.
- Domain: Experience in healthcare, hospital marketing, pharma, diagnostics, or Gynae sales is preferred.
- Functional: Proven background in field sales, relationship management, account management, and territory growth. Experience in leading or supervising a sales team is desirable.

Qualification
Minimum Qualification: Graduate (Bachelor's degree) or Postgraduate (Master's degree) in any discipline.

Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented
Area Sales Manager to lead and manage the field sales team, strengthen hospital and doctor relationships, drive business growth, and achieve sales targets within the assigned territory.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in
healthcare / pharma / hospital sales, team handling, relationship management, and territory growth.
Key Responsibilities (prioritized & Scannable)
Top priorities (Primary responsibilities)
- Drive sales & territory growth: Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue goals through structured territory planning, opportunity mapping, and execution.
- Lead & develop the field team: Recruit, coach, set clear KPIs, provide on-the-job training, and ensure team motivation and retention to meet performance targets.
- Manage key relationships & accounts: Build and deepen relationships with hospitals, doctors, nursing homes, and key accounts; secure tie-ups and referrals to grow business.
- Field presence & promotion: Ensure regular market visits to hospitals, clinics, and healthcare centers to promote products and services and convert opportunities.
- Reporting & CRM discipline: Maintain accurate CRM updates, daily activity logs, and submit timely weekly reports and performance updates to the Regional Sales Manager.
- Operational coordination: Coordinate emergency cases and sample logistics with CREs and phlebotomists to ensure timely collection and delivery to the lab per SOPs.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Conduct competitor and market intelligence to adapt sales strategies and value propositions.
- Organize awareness activities, campaigns, and hospital tie-ups to generate leads and increase brand visibility.
- Ensure team adherence to company policies, business processes, and reporting protocols.
- Participate in review meetings, performance discussions, and strategic planning with the regional team.
Other / Ad-hoc Duties
- Identify suitable replacements and assist in team succession planning when attrition occurs.
- Perform additional business-related responsibilities assigned by management.
