Role Purpose:
Maximize sell-out performance for GripIt's small domestic appliances brand within the modern retail channel. Lead impactful shopper engagement through road shows, superior promoter management, and best-in-class display standards to drive conversion, visibility, and brand awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve and exceed aggressive sell-out targets for GripIt's distributed brand products across all modern retail partners (e.g., Croma, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales, and other regional modern trade stores).
- Develop, plan, and execute road shows and in-store activation programs to generate demand, educate consumers, and increase product trial.
- Build and manage the promoter and field sales team: recruit, train, motivate, and measure performance to ensure best-in-class brand representation and shopper engagement.
- Oversee display management: ensure installation, upkeep, and compliance with planograms; maintain high-impact merchandising standards, visual identity, and product availability at all times.
- Collaborate with account managers and key account teams to synchronize retail execution with broader business and marketing initiatives.
- Conduct regular in-store audits for display quality, visual merchandising compliance, and product presentation effectiveness.
- Monitor and analyze sell-out data, shopper insights, and competitor activities; recommend and implement actions to maximize store-wise performance.
- Foster close relationships with store teams to drive GripIt's distributed brand's strategic priorities and ensure optimal in-store experience for customers.
- Lead training and certification programs for promoters and retail staff, delivering strong product storytelling and enhancing customer interaction.
- Manage ROI-focused tactical promotions, demo events, and road shows, reporting on their effectiveness and impact on conversion rates.
- Quickly resolve escalated operational issues at retail stores, ensuring effortless customer experience.
- Act as the voice of retail and consumer environment, sharing actionable insight with marketing, supply chain, and product teams for ongoing improvements.
Requirements:
- Graduate (MBA or equivalent in Sales/Marketing preferred).
- 7+ years experience in modern retail/channel management in consumer durables, appliances, or FMCG, with clear expertise in field force/promoter management and event execution.
- Demonstrated success in planning and executing road shows, demos, and in-store activations.
- Strong display and merchandising management capabilities; experience with planograms and visual identity standards.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Leadership, team management, and people development strengths.
- Proficiency in sales analytics, reporting tools, and MS Office.
- Willingness to travel extensively within retail networks and attend/lead road shows as required.
