Location: Uttar Pradesh (Moradabad, Auraiya, Bulandshar, Azamgarh, Bijnor, Aligarh, Jhansi, Muzaffarnagar, Sonbhadra, Lucknow, Hardoi, Mau, Varanasi, Meerut, Ballia, Sambhal, Noida)
Reports To: Regional Sales Manager / State Head
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager (ASM) with strong experience in solar sales, business development, and channel distribution. The ideal candidate must have current or prior experience in the solar industry, managing distributors, dealers, and driving secondary sales across the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for solar products and solutions in the assigned territory.
- Drive Secondary Sales through effective distributor and dealer engagement.
- Conduct regular market visits to understand demand trends, customer requirements, and competitive landscape.
Channel Management
- Appoint and develop distributors, dealers and other channel partners as per business strategy.
- Ensure optimal product availability and market coverage through effective channel planning.
- Monitor channel partner performance and ensure compliance with company policies and processes.
Market Intelligence
- Track competitor activities, pricing strategies, and product/service offerings.
- Share market insights and feedback with management to support strategic decisions.
Sales Operations
- Conduct product presentations, technical discussions, and solution demonstrations for partners and customers.
- Manage sales forecasting, order processing, stock planning, and credit control.
- Ensure timely payment collections and maintain healthy receivables.
Customer & Partner Relationship Management
- Address partner and customer issues promptly to ensure smooth business operations.
- Conduct regular business reviews and performance discussions with key partners.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3-8 years of experience in solar sales, channel sales, or renewable energy business development.
- Graduate / Postgraduate in Business Management, Marketing, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Mandatory experience in the solar industry (current or previous role).
- Strong understanding of the solar market ecosystem.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets through channel-driven models.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong knowledge of the assigned territory and local market dynamics.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
