Job Description

Job Title: Area Sales Manager

Education:

  • B-Tech Mechanical or a related Engineering field plus MBA is preferred.

2. Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of sales experience as area manager in the industrial, agriculture, or automotive sectors, with a focus on V-belts and power transmission products.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share in a area manager role.
Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify new business opportunities and potential clients.
  • Prepare annual sales plans, forecasts, and budgets.

2. Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the industrial, agriculture, and automotive sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and channel partners.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients and partners.

3. Market and Competitor Analysis:

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Gather and analyze market intelligence to inform sales strategies and tactics.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities in the market.

4. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Develop and execute customer engagement initiatives to enhance loyalty.

5. Sales Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare regular sales reports, including sales performance, forecasts, and market analysis.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management.

6. Compliance and Ethics:

  • Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions.
