Job Description

Job Purpose

Manage marketing needs for the Area, such as Product Management, Minimum pricing and Marketing Plans while cooperating with AMM's and Marketing managers from other Areas.

Job Context & Major Challenges

Manage marketing needs for the Area with the objective of maximizing profitability of Birla Carbon through asset management and support for RFQ processes and development of tasks like Marketing plans, Minimum Price, and promotion.

Key Result Areas

KRA 1

Product management -

  • Support Product Management process including price and margin analysis, price and volume scenario development, and plant portfolio optimization.

Participation in the S&OP process

KRA 2 -

Marketing Plans -

  • Compile and maintain Marketing Plans for their Area, according to the Birla Carbon Marketing Plan Template

Facilitate implementation

KRA 3 -

Pricing -

  • Defining and updating Minimum Prices for products produced on the assets in the Area.
  • Support Sales Head and Sector Heads with large annual RFQ process

Support sales on local RFQs etc. as necessary

KRA4 -

Team Development -

  • Support, prepare, and develop Marketing managers for

performance leverage and professional progression

KRA5 -

Reporting -

  • Use reporting tools to identify leakage or outliers that require analysis

Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations and Technology to solve problems

KRA6 - Branding, Events And Trade Shows -

  • Participate on regional teams related to trade shows and events throughout the region

Assess effectiveness of marketing programs and recommend and implement changes when needed

KRA7 - Supporting NPD/R&D on Business cases-

Support new product development and capital projects with business plans
