Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Area Manager role based in the Western Suburbs. The Area Manager will be responsible for overseeing branch operations, driving business growth, and ensuring achievement of sales and collection targets across the assigned territory. Daily responsibilities include managing and mentoring a team, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing processes that support customer satisfaction and compliance with company policies. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, optimizing local marketing and customer acquisition initiatives, and strengthening relationships with channel partners and dealers. The Area Manager will also review portfolio quality, address operational issues, and provide regular reports and insights to senior management for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in area or branch management within financial services, NBFCs, banking, or related sectors, with accountability for sales and collections performance.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, including the ability to coach, mentor, and develop a diverse on-ground workforce.
  • Solid understanding of retail lending products (such as two-wheeler, consumer durable, and used vehicle loans), credit processes, and basic risk management principles.
  • Ability to analyze performance data, prepare reports, and use insights to improve productivity, portfolio quality, and customer experience.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging customers, channel partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Comfort with on-site field activities, including regular branch visits, market assessments, and engagement with local partners in the Western Suburbs.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) is an added advantage.
  • Fluency in English and relevant regional languages, with strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
