We are hiring a Business Manager to lead a pod of 5 Interior Designers and drive the team's overall performance across meetings, bookings, and production revenue. This is a player-coach role you will actively coach designers on client conversion while owning pod-level P&L accountability. The BM is the key multiplier for designer performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a pod of 5 Interior Designers responsible for their daily pipeline and output
Own pod-level KPIs: bookings/month, production revenue/month, meeting-to-booking conversion rate
Conduct daily 1:1 pipeline reviews with each designer; identify and unblock stuck deals
Shadow 2+ designer-client meetings per week for live coaching and feedback
Review and sign off all proposals above 5L before they go to clients
Drive lead quality feedback loop with marketing define ICP, flag poor-fit leads
Own weekly performance report to City Head: meetings, bookings, conversion, production
Participate in hiring interviews for new designers joining the pod Conduct monthly conversion training sessions with the team
Ensure zero backlog on booking-to-production handovers (target: 3 weeks)
Required Qualifications
46 years of experience in interior design or a design-led sales environment
Demonstrated track record of managing and growing a sales team (2+ years in a team lead or management role)
Strong understanding of the interior design sales process and client conversion levers
Data-driven approach comfortable reading funnel metrics and identifying drop-off points
Excellent coaching and communication skills able to develop junior designers
Experience with CRM tools and pipeline management Hyderabad market knowledge is a strong plus
Nice to Have
Background in modular interiors, home furnishing, or premium residential design
Experience scaling a city or region from startup phase to 50L+ monthly revenue
Strong referral network in Hyderabad residential market (developers, agents, RWAs)
