Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Area Manager-Bangalore to oversee multiple restaurant locations for Maiz Kitchens. The Area Manager will play a key role in driving operational excellence, maximizing profitability, ensuring the highest quality guest experience, and leading a team of managers and staff. This leadership position requires someone with a proven track record in restaurant management, a passion for food and hospitality, and strong leadership skills to drive Maiz's continued success and growth.

The candidate must be based in Bangalore.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight:

  • Oversee the daily operations of multiple Maiz Kitchen locations, ensuring adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures. Ensure all locations are running efficiently and effectively, with a focus on customer satisfaction, food quality, and safety.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Restaurant Managers, and support staff. Provide coaching, training, and development to ensure high-performing teams and a positive work environment. Inspire the team to achieve goals, improve productivity, and foster growth within the organization.

Financial Performance:

  • Manage and review financials for each location, identifying opportunities to improve revenue, reduce costs, and increase profitability. Analyze sales data, labor costs, inventory management, and other financial metrics to meet and exceed company goals.

Customer Experience & Satisfaction:

  • Ensure every guest has an exceptional dining experience, from food quality to service standards. Address any guest feedback or issues promptly and professionally, ensuring the Maiz brand's reputation is maintained.

Compliance & Standards:

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health regulations, labor laws, and Maiz Kitchen's policies and procedures. Maintain a safe and clean environment for both guests and employees.

Strategy Implementation:

  • Support the execution of corporate strategies and initiatives across all locations. Collaborate with senior leadership on new programs, marketing initiatives, and operational improvements.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Provide regular reports to senior management on key performance indicators (KPIs), operational challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and implement strategies to improve profitability.
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including inventory management, budgeting, labor, and cost control.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Passion for food and hospitality, with a deep understanding of the Mexican culinary tradition.
