Job Description: Area Business Manager
Summary
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is the business lead for a specific territory. You will manage a team of 12–15 School Account Managers (SAMs). Your goal is to ensure every school succeeds by executing clear plans in marketing, sales, and student service.
Core Responsibilities
● Team Management: Manage 12–15 SAMs. Use daily check-ins and field visits to drive productivity.
● School-Level Planning: Create monthly business plans for every school. These must cover marketing, sales, and service activities.
● Execution Oversight: Rigorously monitor on-ground work. Ensure your team executes every part of the school plan perfectly.
● Full Business Ownership: Own the end-to-end performance of your schools. This includes new student enrollments and monthly renewals.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
● Total Revenue: Meeting monthly enrollment and renewal targets for your territory.
● School Profitability: Maintaining high conversion rates and efficient operations for each school.
● Team Success: The percentage of your SAMs who hit their individual school business goals.
What We Are Looking For
● Field Leadership: 3–5 years in sales with 1+ year managing a team of 10+ people. EdTech experience is preferred.
● Execution Focus: A hands-on leader who leads by example on the ground.
● Data-Driven: Ability to track school metrics and use data to improve results
