We are seeking a highly skilled
Workday Financials Architect to lead the solution design, architecture, and roadmap for our Workday Financials platform. The role involves working closely with Finance leadership, business stakeholders, and technology teams to architect scalable and optimized solutions aligned with enterprise financial strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the overall architecture and solution strategy for Workday Financials.
- Partner with Finance and IT leaders to understand business needs and translate them into system design.
- Provide end-to-end solution design across modules such as:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP) / Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Asset Management
- Expenses & Procurement
- Banking & Cash Management
- Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Lead and facilitate design workshops, solution reviews, and governance discussions.
- Ensure Workday Financials integrates seamlessly with HR, Payroll, Procurement, and external systems.
- Oversee and guide functional consultants and developers during implementations and enhancements.
- Establish and enforce best practices, data governance, and compliance standards.
- Stay ahead of new Workday releases, features, and industry trends to drive innovation.
- Mentor Workday consultants and ensure quality delivery across the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of ERP/Financial Systems experience, with at least 5+ years in Workday Financials.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with multiple Workday Financials modules.
- Experience leading large-scale, global Workday Financial implementations.
- Expertise in Workday integrations (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, APIs).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), financial processes, and reporting.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Workday Financials Certification(s) Core / Advanced Modules (preferred).
Good To Have
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning or Prism Analytics.
- Background in finance transformation initiatives and operating model design.
- Exposure to compliance and audit requirements (SOX, tax, global statutory reporting).
- Prior consulting or client-facing leadership experience.
