Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Network Design & Architecture
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available network architectures.
- Lead network upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.
- Define network standards, best practices, and architecture documentation.
Advanced Troubleshooting & Escalations
- Act as the final escalation point for complex network incidents and outages.
- Perform deep-dive troubleshooting across LAN, WAN, WLAN, Data Center, and cloud networks.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.
Network Operations & Optimization
- Optimize network performance, availability, and reliability.
- Monitor network health and proactively address risks and capacity issues.
- Drive automation and continuous improvement in network operations.
Security & Compliance
- Implement and manage network security controls (firewalls, VPNs, ACLs, segmentation).
- Collaborate with Security teams on threat mitigation and compliance requirements.
- Ensure adherence to security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Cloud & Hybrid Networking
- Design and support cloud and hybrid network connectivity (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Implement site-to-site VPNs, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, and SD-WAN solutions.
- Integrate on-prem and cloud networking securely and efficiently.
Leadership & Mentoring
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to L1/L2 engineers.
- Review configurations, change requests, and implementation plans.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) during audits, reviews, and projects.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Work with network vendors and service providers for issue resolution and design guidance.
- Evaluate new networking technologies and tools.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams on large initiatives
