Job Title: Architect - .NET (API Tech Lead)

Experience Level

10+ years (with at least 3 years in a tech lead role)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced .NET API Tech Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and leading the implementation of scalable API solutions using the .NET stack. You will guide a team of developers, ensure best practices are followed, and work closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality, performant software.

Key Responsibilities

As an Architect - .NET (API Tech Lead), you will:

  • API Design & Development Leadership: Lead the design and development of RESTful APIs and backend services using C# and ASP.NET Core.
  • Technical Guidance & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team, fostering their growth and ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Requirements & Solutioning: Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
  • Code Quality & Standards: Enforce coding standards, conduct thorough code reviews, and ensure high software quality through automated testing.
  • Performance & Security Optimization: Optimize application performance, scalability, and security, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, performant software.
  • CI/CD & Deployment: Manage deployment pipelines and CI/CD workflows using tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Architectural Contribution: Participate actively in architectural decisions and contribute to the evolution of the technical roadmap.
  • Production Support & Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues with a strong focus on root cause analysis.
  • Technology Watch: Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance the team's capabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Proficiency:

  • .NET Stack: Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core/.NET 6+, and ASP.NET Core.
  • API & Microservices: Extensive experience in building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
  • ORM & Databases: Experience with Entity Framework Core, LINQ, and SQL (SQL Server or other RDBMS).
  • Software Design: Solid understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, and software architecture best practices.
  • Version Control & CI/CD: Proficiency in using version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools.
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes (AKS is a plus).
  • Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS (Azure preferred).

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of overall experience, with at least 3 years in a tech lead role.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Essential Professional Skills

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a focus on root cause analysis.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
