We are seeking a top-tier Staff or Principal-level Software Engineer to lead the technical evolution of a core sync infrastructure. This system is the backbone of a high-throughput data engine, responsible for the seamless, bi-directional flow of data between our platform and the world's leading CRMs: Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
This is not a typical backend role. We are looking for a specialist who can navigate the unique constraints of CRM APIs at a scale of over 1 billion requests per day.
What You'll Do:
- Architectural Hardening: Audit, design, and optimize our bi-directional sync engine to improve sub-second latency and ensure horizontal scalability across heterogeneous CRM environments.
- CRM Systems Engineering: Direct the implementation of advanced patterns for Salesforce (Bulk 2.0/Streaming), ServiceNow, and Dynamics 365 (Dataverse). You will be expected to engineer around aggressive API governor limits and complex throttling behaviors.
- High-Concurrency Conflict Resolution: Design and implement sophisticated distributed logic (e.g., Vector Clocks or semantic reconciliation) to resolve split-brain scenarios in a high-volume, multi-master sync environment.
- Event-Driven Resilience: Evolve our Change Data Capture (CDC) and message-driven pipelines (Kafka/Pulsar) to ensure zero data loss and self-healing capabilities during third-party CRM outages.
- Data Integrity & Anti-Entropy: Implement and refine automated reconciliation workers to proactively detect and repair data drift between our platform and the connected CRMs.
Who You Are:
- A Proven Architect: You have 10+ years of engineering excellence with a track record of architecting mission-critical distributed systems at Tier-1 enterprise scale.
- A CRM API Master: You possess expert-level, hands-on knowledge of the internals of Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Dynamics APIs. You've felt the pain of their governor limits and know how to build around them.
- A High-Throughput Expert: You have deep, practical proficiency with Kafka, Redis, and distributed databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) for building high-scale infrastructure.
- A Language Master: You have mastery of Go (Golang) or Ruby, with a strong emphasis on performance tuning and memory management. Go experience is highly preferred.
- The Battle-Scarred Engineer: You have previously built sync engines from the ground up and have a visceral understanding of how they fail at scale. You provide a technical North Star for the team through your code and architectural vision.
- An Elite IC: You prefer to lead and influence through technical excellence, without the overhead of people management.
