Architect

1. Job Purpose

As an Architect at DSA, you will contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality architectural projects across the Middle East. You will support senior team members in developing creative, technically sound, and visually compelling solutions that reflect DSA's design ethos and meet client expectations.

Architects at DSA are expected to have passion for Design, enthusiasm for problem solving, commitment to learning and a collaborative mindset.

2. Job Accountabilities Linked to Objectives

Design & Documentation:

▪ Develop conceptual and schematic designs, including hand sketches and presentation materials.

▪ Prepare detailed design and tender documentation.

▪ Produce technical drawings, sections, elevations, and construction details.

Visual Communication:

▪ Create compelling visual presentations and design reports for internal and client-facing use.

Project Coordination:

▪ Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants (MEP, structural, interiors, etc.) to ensure coordinated design outputs.

▪ Attend and contribute to client and consultant meetings (in-person and virtual).

Time & Task Management:

▪ Accurately estimate time required to complete tasks to the required standard.

▪ Adapt to shifting project priorities and support team members as needed.

▪ Maintain personal accountability for meeting deadlines and deliverables.

Quality & Compliance:

▪ Support QA/QC processes in line with DSA's standards and project requirements.

▪ Assist in developing and maintaining project documentation and design archives.

Professional Development:

▪ Participate in internal training programs, including BIM and sustainability workshops.

▪ Engage with DSA Hubs — internal groups focused on research and innovation in areas such as sustainability, digital design, and project delivery. All team members are encouraged to contribute to these initiatives.

3. Qualification / Experience / Requirements

▪ Bachelor's degree in architecture from a recognized institution.

▪ Strong design sensibility and hand sketching ability.

▪ Middle East project exposure (even academic or internship) is advantageous.

4. Tools & Software Proficiency

Note that a Revit Assessment will be undertaken and if necessary, training can be provided

Essential:
