Job Description
Architect & Landscape Designer (Resort Experience Upgradation - Kashmir)
Location: On-site at Resorts in Kashmir + local travel for sourcing and site work
Type: Full-time / Project-based (with execution ownership)
Reports to: Founder
Role Summary
We are upgrading our resort experience to a higher tier of calm, refined luxury - rooted in Kashmir's landscape, light, silence, and craft. You will shape architecture and landscape interventions that feel timeless and understated, delivered through smart choices, strong execution control, and deep respect for what already exists on-site.
What You Will Do
Design direction + master plan: arrival sequence, guest flow, privacy, view corridors, and a few
unforgettable moments (decks, pavilions, fire/tea corners, trails).
Architecture + landscape upgrades: facade/suite enhancements, pathways, planting strategy,
outdoor seating/activity zones, and a layered, warm lighting approach.
Material and craft strategy: identify high-value local materials and artisans (stone, timber, plaster, metalwork) and translate them into a cohesive design language.
Execution leadership: working drawings, BOQ, contractor coordination, on-site supervision, finish quality control.
Phased implementation: prioritize high-impact interventions first while keeping resort operations smooth.
Vendor partnerships: source best-fit products and explore collaborations (furniture, lighting,
wellness corners, installations) that elevate the outcome.
Deliverables
Design direction deck (mood, palette, do/don't rules)
Phase plan (30/60/90-day priorities)
Working drawings + detail set
BOQ + alternates (options that protect the design intent)
Vendor/supplier shortlist
Must-Have Skills
Villa/resort design experience with on-site execution exposure
Strong detailing and finish sense
Practical cost + BoQ control
Ability to work with local vendors/contractors and drive quality
Why This Role (Kashmir)
This is a rare chance to build a destination that feels deeply of its place - Himalayan views, gardens, water,
timber and stone - and make it world-class without losing authenticity.
