Position Summary

• In this role, the Apprentice Lab Technician is responsible to assist the team of Data Scientists in the AIML Team
• In this role the apprentice will be involved hands-on with all the testing activities under mechanical, electrical and electronic domains.
• This position is based in Chandigarh, and strictly based at the test center
• We support professional development goals through further education and certifications.

Duties And Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

• Assists in preparing, cleaning, labeling, and validating datasets for Computer Vision and NLP tasks.
• Supports development, training, fine-tuning, and testing of machine learning and deep learning models using Python-based frameworks.
• Assists in maintaining and troubleshooting AI/ML development environments, libraries, dependencies, and compute resources (CPU/GPU).
• Supports routine monitoring of model performance, experiment tracking, and result documentation.
• Assists in maintaining repositories, experiment logs, model checkpoints, and dataset versioning.
• Supports integration of trained models into prototypes, APIs, or pipelines for inference and evaluation.
• Assists in managing access to datasets, compute resources, and internal tools required for projects.
• Maintains structured documentation for models, data pipelines, experiments, and user guides.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support AI/ML research, development, and validation activities.
• Demonstrates a high level of initiative in learning new AI/ML concepts, tools, and techniques to achieve individual and team objectives.
• Complies with organizational policies related to data security, ethics, privacy, and responsible AI practices.
• Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or Electronics & Communication or equivalent degree. Any previous relavant work experience will be welcome, but not strictly essential.
