Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to user/client escalations and engage functional and management escalation as necessary.
  • Manage requests and incidents using ITSM tools.
  • Implement changes, perform testing, and hand over solutions to customers.
  • Provide prompt handling of incidents, problems, and service requests to minimize service impact.
  • Join a high-priority on-call support group and facilitate smooth transition into the role.
  • Identify opportunities to improve database operations and overall service quality.

Technical Experience

  • Strong expertise in Oracle Database Administration.
  • Good understanding of Oracle Database Architecture (Good to have).
  • Experience with databases such as MySQL, DB2, Microsoft Azure Database Infrastructure, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
  • Skilled in database backup and recovery processes.
  • Experience optimizing data warehouses, data lakes, and other storage solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle DB servers.
  • Knowledge of specialized data handling, data policies, procedures, standards, and capacity planning.
