Position Overview

The Engineer (Developer) will be a key member of the Production Tribe, responsible for designing, developing, releasing and supporting critical production applications. The role works closely with business stakeholders, development teams and IT Operations to guarantee high availability, performance and compliance of the solutions delivered to Arval.

Key Responsibilities

Feature Development & Release

  • Analyse business requirements and implement functional enhancements that adhere to architectural standards.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute releases across development, testing and production environments.
  • Maintain release documentation, version control and compliance artefacts.

Incident & Problem Management

  • Own the full incident lifecyclefrom detection and diagnosis to resolution and communication.
  • Draft and circulate PostIncident Review (PIR) reports, ensuring rootcause elimination.
  • Drive problemmanagement activities to prevent recurrence.

Monitoring & Observability

  • Configure and maintain monitoring solutions (Splunk, Dynatrace, custom scripts) and associated dashboards.
  • Define key performance indicators, set thresholds and trigger alerts for service degradation.

Operational Excellence

  • Produce and regularly update operating procedures, technical manuals and the knowledgebase.
  • Conduct healthchecks of backups, restorations, batch scheduling and capacity utilisation.
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) testing, ensuring readiness.

Performance & Capacity Management

  • Analyse logs, traces and performance metrics to identify bottlenecks.
  • Implement optimisation measures and capacityplanning actions aligned with business growth.

Collaboration & Governance

  • Work within an Agile Scrum squad, contributing to sprint planning, retrospectives and continuousimprovement initiatives.
  • Liaise with development, infrastructure and security teams to fulfil production and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL processes, SLA/KPI targets and security standards.

Required Technical Skills

  • Production & Service Management Tools: ServiceNow, Jira, Scheduler.
  • Monitoring & Observability: Splunk, Dynatrace.
  • DevOps Toolchain: Jenkins, Ansible.
  • Operating Systems & Infrastructure: Linux, Windows, basic networking concepts.
  • Scripting: Shell (Bash / PowerShell).
  • Databases & Data Integration: SQL; experience with Oracle Data Integrator (v12.2.x) is a plus.
  • Methodologies: ITIL, Scrum/Agile, SLA/KPI management, DRP/BCP procedures.
  • Language: Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Professional Experience & Education

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in application production support, operations engineering or a comparable role within a largescale enterprise environment (financial services preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.
