About the Role
We are looking for an Application Support Engineer (SQL) with strong database and production support experience to ensure the stability, performance, and availability of enterprise applications. The role involves SQL-based data analysis, monitoring, incident management, and close collaboration with development and infrastructure teams in a shift-based support environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform SQL-based data analysis, querying, and validation across multiple databases.
- Work with ETL tools and data workflows to support data processing and integrations.
- Monitor application logs and alerts to ensure platform stability, availability, and performance.
- Provide Level 2/Level 3 production support, including incident management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and preventive measures.
- Support application deployments, upgrades, patches, hotfixes, and release coordination activities.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve recurring production issues.
- Implement preventive measures to reduce incident recurrence and improve system reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong expertise in SQL for data analysis, querying, and validation.
- Experience with ETL tools and data workflows.
- Database experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and/or SQL Server.
- Hands-on experience in production support environments.
- Experience using monitoring tools for application health and alerting.
- Proven ability in incident management and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including weekends, as per business needs.
