Summary:

As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues that arise within various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to monitoring system performance, diagnosing problems, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications. The engineer collaborates with different teams to maintain system stability and supports continuous improvement efforts to enhance overall service quality and reliability.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
• Responsible for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of application issues.
• Mentor junior team members to develop their technical and problem-solving skills.
• Monitor system health and proactively identify potential risks to prevent downtime.
  
  

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
• Experience in database performance tuning and optimization.
• Strong knowledge of backup and recovery techniques for Oracle databases.
• Ability to manage database security and user access controls effectively.
• Familiarity with database replication and high availability solutions.
• Skilled in troubleshooting database-related issues and providing timely resolutions.
